The press conference for the film “About Family” was held today (Nov 12th) at 11 AM at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University. Director Yang Woo-seok and actors Kim Yoon-seok, Lee Seung-gi, Kim Sung-ryung, Kang Han-na and Park Soo-young were in attendance.

Previously, Lee Seung-gi hinted at taking legal action against malicious comments related to the stock manipulation controversy surrounding his father-in-law, known as Mr. A, who is the husband of actress Kyeon Mi-ri. Questions regarding this matter were raised at today’s event.

Addressing the issue, Lee Seung-gi said, “It seems my statement that ‘family is not at fault’ may have caused some misunderstanding. What I’ve consistently said is that ‘the in-laws’ matters are their own’. Since getting married, my wife and I have established an independent household. I don’t feel it’s appropriate to go into further detail on this topic, and I intend to be more cautious going forward.”

Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in, daughter of Kyeon Mi-ri, in April last year, and they welcomed a daughter in February this year.

Ahead of Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in’s wedding, suspicions resurfaced that A was involved in a past stock manipulation case. In response, Kyeon Mi-ri’s side stated through legal representatives in February last year that Kyeon Mi-ri and her husband had no connection to the stock manipulation case and declared that they would take legal action against the spread of false information.

In particular, Lee Seung-gi’s agency emphasized “This matter involves events that occurred before Lee Seung-gi’s marriage and is an issue that the family must resolve. We earnestly request that the family be left out for Lee Seung-gi’s sake”, thereby drawing a clear line regarding the controversy.
